About Me

Hello and welcome to my photo blog.

I am an amateur photographer from Cleethorpes in North East Lincolnshire. I started taking photographs from a young age, following in my dads footsteps (see his blog here), although it has only been in more recent years that I have taken it more seriously.
I am a member of Cleethorpes Camera Club, where I’m currently the on the club committee and attend a number of different nights when the club meets (we have a number of sections at CCC that meet at different times and days a week catering for all interests and capabilities).

My photographic interests are varied although I have been doing a lot more Street Photography, Documentary, Sport and Portrait photography in recent times and I do like to play with some of my images in Photoshop and creating composites.

I have recently started to give photography talks to other camera clubs in the region, which I find enjoyable.

I have gained a number of photographic awards including the CPAGB with PDIs and the LRPS after taking a HNC course in digital imaging.
I have been entering photographic exhibitions for the last 2 years both the national (BPE) exhibitions and international (FIAP) exhibitions and have gained both BPE3* and EFIAP awards from these organisations.

I hope you enjoy viewing my images, as much as I have enjoyed taking and creating them.

Mike
